People get married and give birth in their thirties – Is it a positive or negative development?

From time to time, society has constantly evolved. In earlier days, people used to get married and have babies at a younger age but nowadays we see that people get married and give birth in their thirties. In my opinion, this is a positive development.

In early days, life was quite different. People used to live in smaller communities and had a fairly stress-free life. Getting married at a younger age was a social norm. One of the main reasons behind this was that the medical facilities were not apt. By giving birth at a younger age the survival rate of the mother and child used to be high. However, the downside was that the parents themselves were not mature enough to handle life as it comes. The consequence of this was that people ended up in a situation where they could not handle their life properly.

As a society, we have come a long way. Due to the advancement in our technological and medical capabilties, we are better equipped to deal with various challenges. The average life span of an individual has increased from 50 years to 75 years, giving us more time to experience our lives. In today’s world, the prime focus in our twenties is to make ourselves financially secure and established so that we can plan our lives efficiently. Once we are established, it is easy to plan a family. We dont have to worry on meeting our quotidian needs and can give the best to our kids. By the time we reach into our thirties, we gain enough experience to handle life maturely.

To conclude, I see it beneficial to get married and give birth in the thirties as the benefits outweigh the cons of aging. Also, the learnings one gets by the time they are in their thirties helps planning life more effecitvely.
